I was raised in southern Quebec and went on to study Architecture at Carleton University (Ottawa) and McGill University (Montreal).
Before completing my studies, I took two years off to work for the Montreal Olympics as site manager of the equestrian site and then decided that I should travel… arriving in Australia in 1978. Within 48 hours I was working as a designer for a kitchen/bathroom renovating company in Sydney.
In 1981 my wife (Judy) and I set up CANDANA where, for a good many years, I would spend the days chipping tiles off client’s bathroom walls, then work well into the nights at the drafting table preparing plans for new projects.
Still very active in the company, my days are now spent up-dating showroom displays, and my pet-love…designing and developing Australian made bathroom products.
Should you have an old tap or toilet that you need to identify, or just want to say hello, please ask a staff member to find me… I still love being called into the showroom.
